The Paparazzi Buoy 90 Miles Away From Cuba!
The southernmost point's purpose is to signify that if you go past that buoy, oh man, you are out of this country! The buoy says that you are 90 miles to Cuba. If you thought that the buoy was a buoy you are actually wrong it is an old sewer junction that was dug up and painted to look like a buoy. It's named one of the extreme points in America.
The marker stands at the farthest south tip of Key West. The monument notes that Cuba in only 90 miles away, and just to its right, a plague states the brave Cubans who have drowned trying to get to america, "The Leader In Democracy".
